We are a residential property consultancy specialising in acting on behalf of buyers to assist with the search for and acquisition of residential property. We also act in a sales consultancy role for private sellers, advising and assisting them in the sale of their home.

In providing these services, we process personal data relating to our buyer and sales consultancy clients, estate agents, professional advisers and other parties involved in property transactions.

For the purposes of UK data protection law, we are the data controller.

We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

  • from third parties involved in property transactions, such as solicitors and estate agents
  • via our outsourced AML and identity verification provider
  • from publicly available sources where appropriate

  • act on behalf of buyers in searching for, assessing, negotiating and acquiring residential property
  • communicate with sellers, estate agents and professional advisers
  • arrange and attend viewings
  • progress property transactions

Where we acquire property directly, we process personal data as part of the transaction and associated legal requirements.

  • Contract – where processing is necessary to provide services to buyer or sales consultancy clients or to take steps at their request prior to entering into a contract
  • Legal obligation – including compliance with anti-money laundering and financial crime legislation
  • Legitimate interests – to act on behalf of buyers or sellers, progress property transactions, communicate with relevant parties, and conduct property acquisitions or sales, provided these interests are not overridden by the rights and freedoms of individuals

These checks are conducted by our outsourced compliance provider:

FCS Compliance

We share personal data with this provider solely for the purpose of meeting our legal obligations. FCS Compliance processes personal data in accordance with data protection law and appropriate security standards.

  • sellers, buyers and estate agents involved in a transaction
  • solicitors and conveyancers
  • our AML and identity verification provider (FCS Compliance)
  • IT, CRM and software providers

We do not sell personal data to third parties.

9. International transfers

We do not routinely transfer personal data outside the UK.

If any personal data is processed outside the UK, appropriate safeguards will be in place in accordance with UK GDPR.
